I am always SUPER confused when someone hasn’t heard of Superdry, both of us being British and all! This brand blew up almost over night, it has HUGE stores in pretty much every city in the UK, like the size of Cotton On, with everything from flip flops to panties!!! All covered in Japanese?!
They did this jacket once called windbreaker (I think) and honestly you were so NOT cool if you didn’t have it, and if you had it in two colours? Well, consider yourself the best thing since sliced bread!!

  Superdry is huge here in Wellington, I never knew they did sunglasses though till we got them in but you see people wearing Superdry branded clothes (mostly tshirts) all the time. I find it less cringe when people come in wearing Superdry and buy Superdry sunglasses than when people do the same with a brand like Oakley though haha.
  I wish we could embed gifs in our comments (can we??)

haha the translation part, Ive had Japanese customers inform me numerous times that it didn’t make sense haha so now I can be like well that’s all part of the marketing and branding… its intentional!! clever marketing tactics aye!

Haha our customers were always really confused whenever we told them it was a UK brand. And my friend in Japan thought it was hilarious when I sent her a photo of the logo to translate when we first got them in store, it’s like reverse Engrish!

I noticed on Saturday on my walk home (obv stopping in the shops, naughty annie!) that Smith and Caugheys have a concession of Superdry clothing if anyone wants to check it out!
