Last year I signed up to run the Auckland Half Marathon (21km!!) for the Make a Wish Foundation. I ran in a team of 5 and between us we raised over $6000 which was enough to make at least 3 kids wishes come true. We choose the Make A Wish foundation as my 6yr old nephews best friend had been granted a few wishes through them. We had seen first hand the great work they do, creating lifelong memories for the family and the most amazing experiences for the kids involved. Sunglass Style helped our fundraising effort by donating $500 to the cause.

Earlier this year Sunglass Style donated $500 to UNICEF, in particular to the Syrian Refugee Children Winter fund. This money goes toward making the thousands of refugee children safe and warm as they face winter in refugee camps. This cause was chosen by Sven. UNICEF aim is to make the world safer for all Children.

We made our choices and now we would like to donate $1000 to a cause that is close to your heart and that you care about. Please comment below with a charity or cause you would like this money to go to. We will pick the TOP 5 and then put these towards a company wide vote. Please make your suggestions over the next week, we’ll let you know the TOP 5 next Friday.
