On Tuesday I had an elderly man make fun of my teeth and this morning I had a kid make a number 2 whoopsie on my shop floor which must’ve happened when I was serving the parents and didn’t notice until after they left, so I had to clean it up (insert sweating and being sick emoji here) 😷

But this afternoon I had the pleasure of serving the loveliest lady! She came in looking for a pair of fit overs and said it’s hard to find a pair that aren’t terribly ugly(because let’s be honest here- fit overs are an eyesore.) So we went through a few, she picked some out and I went out back and found a pair that looked almost like normal sunnies (unity 6223B)! I just went through the sales process of narrowing down the selection and quite honestly said that the bigger ones weren’t flattering and the smaller black ones were extremely harsh. So she had decided that she liked them the most but would go away and think about it, so I kept them on hold and sure enough she came back. Went and tried them on outside came back and I closed the sale.
While we were standing at the counter she asked if I were the manager and when I said yes she asked for our head office contact so that she could tell them how much she appreciates my sincere and honest service as it doesn’t happen often, and it honestly just made my heart melt.

So I don’t even mind that I had a customer insult my appearance yesterday, or that I had to clean up human poop this morning, it’s putting a smile on someone’s face that just completely makes your day. Like we get to do this every day!? How cool is that! That’s the awesome thing about working at Sunglass Style, we aren’t pushy sales people, and we don’t annoy customers following them around the store asking if they want to buy what they’ve just looked at.
We are all so genuine and that’s why people come back to us!
I couldn’t think of a better place to work.
