Versace has long had a connection with the arts and music. As well as couture fashion, Gianni Versace designed costumes for theatre and films; and as a friend of Eric Clapton, Princess Diana, Kate Moss, Madonna, Elton John, Tupac Shakur and many other celebrities, he was one of the first designers to link fashion to the music world.

A Versace dress was just about the ultimate accessory in the 90s & early 00s, and they were designed to turn heads! The infamous ‘safety pin’ dress worn by a young Liz Hurley catapulted her into the limelight, the slinky metallic butterfly dress was loved by ‘the supers’ and JLo in the palm print dress at the 2000 grammy awards made jaws drop. These most famous gowns were recreated for the Versace spring-summer 2020 runway collection and JLo rocked her gown again 20 years later, looking every bit as glam!
