The other week the Manners Mall team went on their helicopter trip to the Luxurious Wharekaukhau Lodge and they had a blast!
“OMG IT WAS AMAZING!
Seriously a once in a life time opportunity, it was so incredibly fancy I could have died.
The helicopter ride was a little scary at first! It was smaller than I think we were expecting but we all managed to squeeze in and freak out together during lift off hahah. Our pilot was so cool and it was awesome to see the city from that height too.
The lodge was too gorgeous for words. We had a wee tour of the main house and had our mouths open the whole way round.
Apparently Will and Kate and Tom Cruise have stayed there so you can imagine the standard I’m talking about!
Oh and the service/food we received was just as impressive!
It was surprising how much flavour could come from a single dish. Every course was spectacular, and we were able to tell the chef directly as he came out to have a chat afterwards! And don’t worry, we all pulled out our phones with every course so you’ll get to see everything we ate and be super jealous 🙂
The only downside was the weather. It was raining and freezing all day so unfortunately we couldn’t have a proper look around the grounds. Even still, none of us wanted to leave! We were made to feel so welcome and had such a lovely day.” – Lucy
