On Wednesday morning we had a customer in, an elderly man named Warwrick. He is a pilot, used to fly Air NZ planes (now his two sons pilot for AirNZ) but now flies his own planes as a hobby.
Nina started out serving him, explaining the differences between Oakley, Bolle, Revo and Serengeti lenses. We gave him some brochures to look at and lots of information to take away.
He set off to explore in various other sunnies shacks and winded up back here with some further questions. Using a combination of his knowledge of different windshield materials and our knowledge of lens materials, taking him outside to test the lenses, we concluded a pair of Serengeti’s were best suited to his needs (don’t worry we checked that he is allowed to fly with Polarised lenses as his planes are not the laminated windscreens that commercial planes use).
When I mentioned that I choose to fly AirNZ for the cabin service, he responded with “that is actually the reason I came back to this store to purchase these. I originally had a $100 budget and all the other stores I went to had very professional service that I easily could have bought from. But your store, your staff and yourself added that extra enjoyment and went the extra mile, and customer service is very important to me.”
And now you can see why the “Serengeti” customer will always be my favorite. I think we’ve made a friend here!
