Sunglass Style is about to become one of the first stockists in NZ of Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta Vanguard — two AI glasses lines launching at the same time. Ray-Ban Meta is the lifestyle pair, Oakley Meta Vanguard is built for sport and performance. This is a brand new category for NZ, so nobody’s seen these in stores here before.

They’re more than a camera you wear. Yes, they take photos and video hands-free, but that’s the easy bit to describe and undersells them. There’s a genuine focus on doing this responsibly too: when the glasses are recording, a light comes on so the people around the wearer know it’s happening. And if anyone tries to tamper with that light, the glasses simply stop working. That’s a real trust feature, not a gimmick, and it’s worth knowing when you’re talking to customers.

We don’t have the product in our hands yet, and we don’t have a confirmed launch date — but it’s coming, and it’s soon.
