By designing and manufacturing directly we’re able to create a luxury-quality collection that retails at a much more affordable price, and caters especially for our kiwi customers.

• All Eleven frames are crafted from premium acetate for a high lustre finish, durability and most importantly so they can be heat-moulded and custom fit for every customer.
• High quality metal hardware and barrel hinges ensure strength and stability
• Logos are engraved and finished in gold or silver tone
• Product specifications are etched (not printed) on the inner temples for longevity
• Lens etching adds detail and provides authenticity
• Eleven is NZ owned and designed right here in Auckland
• And of course, all Eleven sunnies offer maximum UV400 protection

Design & Manufacture

Every collection starts with a sampling process, we look at hundreds of frames, follow emerging trends in both style and colours and incorporate feedback from our teams and customers.

Once we’ve defined our shapes for the season it’s on to prototypes! Technical drawings of every frame allow us to review and tweak prior to manufacture, and we’ll get certain frames 3D printed to get them just right.

Colour selection can take some time, there are so many variations on tortoiseshell! Colour matching lenses to frames comes next. The total design time is about 1 month plus 4 months production time to allow for frame manufacture, metal hardware, lens tinting, polishing, engraving, assembling and QC!

Designing our frames means we can cater for our market with wider fits, longer temples and custom colours.

2025 collection

New Custom Frame Colours

• Our new Matte Black temple treatment is a subtle way to differentiate from a classic black and the contrast with the glossy frame front is slick and modern. The soft-touch matte acetate feels and looks great, you’ll find this treatment on the Caracas, Cuzco, Cidra and Cordoba frames.
• Our Crystal Yellow is inspired by vintage frames from the 60s & 70s. Paired with a brown gradient lens the overall effect is light, effortless and mellow. Released in our retro Cali and Cuzco frames, the look is chill and all about good vibes.
• Green is THE colour for Autumn/Winter, featured in collections from Saint Laurent, Fendi, Etro and more. Green evokes a sense of quality and luxury and our deep Crystal Green is a great alternative to a neutral – instead of browns or greys for that softer look, this season is all about greens!

New Lens Tints

• Light Orange – this peachy perfect tint is great on cloudy days and for lower light conditions, and despite its light colour still provides full UV400 protection.
• Gradient Silver Mirror – a light silver flash over a graduated grey gives a barely-there mirrored appearance. The gradient lens allows more light transmission while the mirrored coating helps reflects the glare.
• Green Gradient – a cool green tone that merges seamlessly with our Crystal Green frame colour, keeping the look light and transparent.

All Eleven Eyewear frames come with a microfibre cleaning pouch (Zebra Print this summer!) and must be placed in an ELEVEN branded envelope before handing to customers.

We also have the Eleven 3pc hard case. Modelled on Eyewear Rep sample cases, the Eleven case easily fits 3 pairs of sunnies to be used for sunglass storage at home and is ideal for travelling to keep your faves on hand. The case is $29 or FREE with 2 pairs! More cases arriving in store.
